Kenan HASIMBEGOVIC
Kenan Hasimbegovic is a Bosnian artist who lives and creates in Antwerp, Belgium.
He makes associative-abstract paintings. For ten years he has been developing a visual which he uses to describe fragments of internal landscape. Each one of his paintings represents one aspect of that world. They are snapshots, documents, postcards sent to the audience and himself. Through his paintings, Kenan is presenting us with places and states he visited during a continuing process of purification which motivates his creative work. Kenan’s works are remains or traces of daily rituals. They are souvenirs of moments, maps of experiences and testimony the journey.
